Glass Damage Changes More Than Appearance
A broken window can look like a small issue beside crash damage, but it often changes the whole collection. Glass can make the cabin unsafe to reach into, let rain soak the seats and carpets, and leave sharp pieces across a driveway or yard.

Check Belongings With Care
Before collection, remove personal items if it is safe. Use gloves, daylight and patience. Check the glovebox, centre console, under seats, boot, door pockets and any paperwork folders. Broken glass can hide in seat rails, carpets and storage trays.
If an area is unsafe or inaccessible, say so. You do not need to cut yourself trying to rescue a fuel receipt or old charger. Let the collector know there may still be items trapped, especially if doors or the boot are jammed after impact.
Keep The Loading Area Sensible
Loose glass on a private drive is one thing. Loose glass on a shared lane, roadside space or workshop yard needs more care. Sweep what you safely can, but do not move the car over glass if it risks punctures or further mess.
When booking, explain the parking surface, nearby obstacles and whether the car rolls. Mention if glass is inside the tyres, around the wheels or behind the car. Small details make the collection cleaner, safer and less likely to become a dispute when the truck arrives. They also help the driver protect the loading area properly.
